Workshop Bookings

Specific times may be booked for some of our services, however due to the nature of our business it is not always possible to commence the work at the specified time, you will be informed of any delays as soon as reasonably practicable or upon your arrival, we will aim to keep waiting times as low as possible & will keep you informed throughout your waiting time of any changes / developments that could increase your waiting time. Where complications arise that may impact on your waiting time you will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable. Please be punctual to your appointments as our availability to offer a while you wait / same day service may be impacted. For servicing & larger repairs, your vehicle should be with us by 9am & will need to be left with us until the end of the day unless otherwise agreed / arranged by your service advisor.

MC Autos will not be liable for any economic losses arising in any manner whatsoever out of any delays.

Cancellations

You have the right to cancel at any time before the instructed work has commenced. There will be no charge, providing no costs have been incurred. Where costs have been incurred you will only pay for the labour time spent up until the cancelation point or for any parts already fitted to your vehicle. Where the vehicle will require reassembly or partial reassembly in order to make the vehicle mobile, you will be required to pay the labour time taken for reassembly. Payment for costs incurred will be required prior to the removal of the vehicle from the premises.

Estimates

Estimates are provided free of charge & can be provided in writing, via email, in person or over the phone. Estimates will always be as accurate & detailed as possible, however if complications arise during a repair that will impact on the original estimate you will be contacted by us before any further work is carried out to inform you of the complication/s & how this may affect you (financially or time completion).

VAT

We are VAT registered (VAT registration number: GB976963252). All of our services & parts are subject to VAT, unless otherwise stated (eg. MOT's). All estimates given will be inclusive of VAT & all issued invoices will display the VAT amount.

Payments

Full payment of the invoice/s will be required prior to the removal of the vehicle from the premises. Payment can be made by cash, BAC's, PayPal, debit card & credit card*

*We do not accept American Express

Refunds & Returns

Subject to your statutory rights (which shall not be affected by this provision), it is not possible to offer refunds after purchase for any parts that have been used on your vehicle. If you believe that a part we have supplied & fitted is defective, we require the vehicle to be brought back for us to test the suspected part, if the part is confirmed as defective & is still within the manufacturers warranty, the part will be replaced free of charge*

*Genuine parts obtained from an authorised dealer have to be tested by that dealer, we would still carry out the initial test to confirm that the part is defective, however the dealer will want to carry out their own tests before they will honour the warranty on the part, if they confirm the part is defective, they will then supply & fit a replacement part free of charge. If they deem that the part is not faulty & the fault is unrelated then you will be liable for the investigation charge.

Subject to your statutory rights (which shall not be affected by this provision), once fitted to your vehicle a part cannot be exchanged.

Warranty

All manufacturers offer a standard 12 month warranty on their parts, if the warranty period is any different from the standard period this will be detailed on the customers invoice.

Our workmanship is covered by a lifetime warranty.

Where a part that we have supplied & fitted fails within the warranty period, it will be replaced free of charge.

If the customer opts to supply their own parts, warranty will only be offered if the failure is due to poor workmanship, if the part fails prematurely no warranty will be offered & the customer will be liable for any costs incurred in investigating or replacing the failed part.

Storage Charges

Once you have been contacted to confirm that the work on your vehicle is complete & the vehicle is ready for collection, its is expected that the vehicle will be collected no later than 48 hours after, unless you have received written authorisation from us. Failure to collect the vehicle within this period will result in a £10 + VAT per day charge until the vehicle is collected.

We pride ourselves on our customer care and will aim to do whatever is reasonably possible to resolve any issue.
